I’ve proudly indulged myself in books all my life. Rather, from the earliest age I can remember. Tucking myself away in a corner somewhere. Cross-legged on the floor with books spread out around me. Getting lost in them for hours on end.
From my fav. tadpole young reader, to R.L. Stine’s Fear Street series, then college obsessions with Morrison’s literary genius.
I believe it’s made me a better writer.
How can one tell stories if they’ve never fallen in love with other writer’s lit., tales, thrillers, and romances?
I have learned that only an act of God can deliver us from such soul ties that interweave themselves deep within and dare not be moved—no matter how you think you’re over it, could never go back to it, long since forgotten it. Some things have its way of lingering. It lies dormant in you until another new prospect comes along and jostles it awake.
